Field Excursions

We offer whole day field excursions between Easter and October half term, providing the perfect opportunity for pupils to match theory to reality. Excursions are usually run over a whole school day and pupils will have the opportunity to undertake different types of field work and use a wide range of data gathering techniques.

We are able to accommodate up to 30 pupils for river fieldwork, and up to 40 pupils for all other excursions.

Transport for pupils to and from the field site needs to be arranged by the school, GeoBus is unable to take responsibility for this.

Each course is accompanied by a risk assessment and the expected degrees of difficulty in terms of the terrain are identified.

  2. Sediments & structure
  3. River processes
