Unfortunately we have not yet been able to release booking dates beyond summer 2018 due to funding uncertainties. Please watch this space and we will try to keep everyone updated via the mailing list – The GeoBus Team.
Please use the calendar to identify when GeoBus is in your area and use the form below to make a provisional booking. A copy of the form will be automatically sent to the email address that you enter – if you do not receive this then please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once we receive your form, we will be in touch to confirm your booking but please note that this make take a few days.
GeoBus is sponsored and funded by the UK Research Councils and industry. Our funding covers the employment of Education Coordinator – Jen Brooke, Education Officer – Sean Doherty and Assistant Education Officer – Lauren Hockenhull. There is no charge for the visits themselves, although we reserve the option to ask for a small amount to cover our printing costs for a visit.
Conditional statements regarding visits (please read carefully)
If GeoBus is to spend the whole day at your school, the school should provide lunch for all GeoBus staff and volunteers.
Additional people participating in GeoBus are volunteers (undergraduates, postgraduates and early career researchers). Please keep this in mind when you request a visit. For health and safety it is required that at least one teacher is present at each workshop that we deliver (pending on workshop size). GeoBus is not a walk-on vehicle and space within the school is required to deliver the teaching packages. If you are booking a field trip, transport should be arranged by the school for the students.
Please ensure you have read the requirements for the workshop you are booking – some workshops involve heavy equipment and require a ground floor teaching space if there is not a lift in the school building.
